Navigation System Symptom Troubleshooting - GPS icon does not indicate

Diagnostic Test: Navi System Link

NOTE:

Make sure the vehicle is parked outside and away from buildings.
Refer to GPS Information for realtime satellite reception display.
Check for window tinting above the GPS antenna and any Non-OEM accessories mounted near the navigation unit or a GPS antenna.

1.	Check for metallic window tint on the windshield and electronic aftermarket accessories (possibly hidden) mounted near the GPS antenna or the navigation unit. Is there metallic window tint or electronic accessories? YES - Remove tint or the accessories and recheck.n NO - Go to 2.

Is ‘‘GPS Ant'' icon red?

YES - Check for a kinked, crushed, or disconnected GPS antenna wire. If icon is still red, replace the GPS antenna.n

NO - Check that nothing is blocking the GPS antenna located under the rear shelf and recheck. Substitute a known-good GPS antenna, and recheck.n

If the symptom is gone, replace the GPS antenna.
If the symptom is still present, substitute a known-good navigation unit and recheck. If the symptom is gone, replace the original navigation unit.
