Security Alarm Control Siren Input Test

1.Remove the right trunk side trim panel.

2.Disconnect the 4P connector (A) from the alarm control siren (B).

 

3.Inspect connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.

  • If the terminals are bend, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
  • If the terminals look OK, go to 4.

4.Make these input tests at the connector.

  • If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
  • If all the input tests prove OK, the alarm control siren must be faulty, replace it.

Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if result is not obtained 
1 BLK Under all conditions Check for continuity to ground:
There should be continuity. 
  • Poor ground (G652)
  • An open in the wire
 
2 GRN Under all conditions Check for continuity between the No. 2 terminal and No. 2 terminal of the ultrasonic sensor:
There should be continuity. 		An open in the wire 
3 YEL Under all conditions Check for continuity between the No. 3 terminal and T15 terminal of the MICU:
There should be continuity. 		An open in the wire 
4 WHT Under all conditions Check for voltage to ground:
There should be battery voltage. 
  • Blown No. 16 (15 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box
  • An open in the wire
