| DTC B1238 or DTC indicator K: | A Problem in the Passenger's Air Mix Control Linkage, Door, or Motor |
| 1. | Clear the DTC with the HDS. |
| 2. | Turn the ignition switch OFF, and then ON (II). |
| 3. | Do the self-diagnostic with the HDS or climate control unit. |
| 4. | Check for DTCs. Is DTC M and AUTO indicated? YES - Go to troubleshooting DTC M and AUTO. NO - Go to 5. |
| 5. | Check for DTCs. Is DTC B1238 or K indicated? YES - Go to 6. NO - Intermittent failure.n |
| 6. | Turn the ignition switch OFF. |
| 7. | Remove the passenger's air mix control motor. |
| 8. | Check the passenger's air mix control linkage and door for smooth movement. Is the linkage and door OK? YES - Replace the passenger's air mix control motor.n NO - Repair the passenger's air mix control linkage and door.n |
