| DTC P1069: | BARO Sensor/MAP Sensor Incorrect Voltage Correlation |
| 1. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II). |
| 2. | Check the BARO SENSOR in the DATA LIST with the HDS. Is atmospheric pressure indicated? YES - Go to 3. NO - Go to 13. |
| 3. | Check the MAP SENSOR in the DATA LIST with the HDS. Is atmospheric pressure indicated? YES - Go to 4. NO - Go to 6. |
| 4. | Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 2,000 rpm (min-1) without load (in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle. |
| 5. | Monitor the OBD STATUS for DTC P1069 in the DTCs MENU with the HDS. Does the screen indicate FAILED? YES - Inspect the air cleaner element, then go to 8. NO - If the screen indicates PASSED, intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAP sensor/IAT sensor 2 and the ECM. If the screen indicates NOT COMPLETED, go to 4 and recheck. |
| 6. | Turn the ignition switch OFF. |
| 7. | Replace the MAP sensor/IAT sensor 2. |
| 8. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II). |
| 9. | Reset the ECM with the HDS. |
| 10. | Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 2,000 rpm (min-1) without load (in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle. |
| 11. | Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs in the DTCs MENU with the HDS. Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated? YES - If DTC P1069 indicated, check for poor connections or loose terminals at the ECM, then go to 1. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting. NO - Go to 12. |
| 12. | Monitor the OBD STATUS for DTC P1065 in the DTCs MENU with the HDS. Does the screen indicate PASSED? YES - Troubleshooting is complete.n NO - If the screen indicates FAILED, check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAP sensor/IAT sensor 2 and the ECM, then go to 1. If the screen indicates NOT COMPLETED, go to 10 and recheck. |
| 13. | Update the ECM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good ECM. |
| 14. | Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 2,000 rpm (min-1) without load (in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle. |
| 15. | Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs in the DTCs MENU with the HDS. Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated? YES - If DTC P1069 indicated, check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAP sensor/IAT sensor 2 and the ECM, then go to 1. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting. NO - If the ECM was updated, troubleshooting is complete. If the ECM was substituted, replace the original ECM.n |
