| DTC P16A9: | No. 3 Cylinder IQA Data Error |
| 1. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II). |
| 2. | Clear the DTC with the HDS. |
| 3. | Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P16A7, P16A8, P16A9, and/or P16AA indicated? YES - Go to 4. NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.n |
| 4. | Note the IQA letters on the top of the injectors. |
| 5. | Check the IQA DATA STATUS in the ADJUSTMENT menu with the HDS. Does the IQA data coincide with the IQA letters? YES - Update the ECM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good ECM, then recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good ECM, replace the original ECM.n NO - Do the injector quantity adjustment, then go to 6. |
| 6. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II). |
| 7. | Reset the ECM with the HDS. |
| 8. | Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P16A7, P16A8, P16A9, and/or P16AA indicated? YES - If DTC P16A7, P16A8, P16A9, and/or P16AA is indicated, go to 1 and recheck. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting. NO - Troubleshooting is complete.n |
